The Hubble Space Telescope is once again up and running according to officials with NASA.

The massive orbiting observatory had been blind for nearly a month due to an equipment malfunction but it is now been rebooted and is working fine.

The problem was in Hubble’s 135-pound data-handling unit, which is used to assemble images that are taken by cameras before they are transmitted to earth.

Despite the fact the Hubble is once again working, it still needs repairs and astronauts will not be able to get to it until next May.

A repair mission had been scheduled for October 14th, to repair other instruments on the telescope. This work will be conducted when astronauts blast off next May.

The batteries for Hubble will also be replaced as they are now operating at half their capacity.
