MySpace Chief Executive Chris DeWolfe hinted that some time in the distant future, MySpace could develop a device to compete with the iPod.

In September, MySpace collaborated with several major record labels to create MySpace Music, which connects users with streaming, ringtone and music downloads and videos, among other services.

However, MySpace is more about community and sharing playlists, while i Tunes is more about the music itself.

The development of a portable mp3-player is certainly not on the immediate horizon, as MySpace struggles to maintain its income despite falling ad revenue.
