Fast Food Commercials Spauning Childhood Obesity In America
Results of a new study find that by banning fast food commercials on TV the rate of childhood obesity could be greatly reduced.
Childhood obesity is a growing problem in America, as children are finding it way to easy to access fattening foods as part of an increasingly popular sedintary lifestyle.
The study finds that as many as 18% fewer young children and 14% of older kids would not be obese if there was a crack down on commercials featuring fast food.
The television is a very powerful form of media, offering ads that reach millions upon millions of viewers each and every day.
When kids are exposed to fast food ads on a constant daily basis, it is only natural for them to want to indulge themselves because the food that is advertised just looks soooo good.
They totally should ban fast food commercials on TV. I really think it has A LOT to do with child obesity, and it’s not much about that, but it’s also the parent’s fault. I mean, take your kids out to the park, let them run a little. It’s parent’s fault and also all that gross greasy food they sell out there.
IT’S CALLED ORGANIC PEOPLE, STICK TO IT. STICK TO FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, FUCKING FATASSES!
I do not know of any young children that drive themselves to fastfood restaurants and buy food. Dont you think think the problem starts with the parents. Banning ads will not stop the parents from driving to the restaurants and getting a quick meal for the family. Get real!
i have never heard of a kids that big and i think that i would blame there weight problems on there parents because the only way they can get that big is from the parents letting them eat and do what they want to do.
