Janet Jackson Nipple Exposure Not Forgotten
The US government has asked the Supreme Court to uphold a fine imposed on CBS following the funny wardrobe malfunction that resulted in Janet Jackson’s nipple being exposed to millions of television viewers during the 2004 Superbowl.
The fine was slapped on the network by the FCC but a court originally ruled that because CBS was not responsible for Jacksons’ actions that they would not have to pay it. Prosecutors are not dropping the case and have taken it to the top.
At the time of the incident, Jackson was performing live with popstar Justin Timberlake. Although the act of showing her breast was an accident, it has not been forgotten.
