Barbara Bush Resting Following Surgery To Fix Ulcer
Former first lady Barbara Bush is recovering in hospital after undergoing surgery to repair an ulcer last night.
Bush, 83 had experienced pain in her abdomin Tuesday evening, resulting in her going to the hospital were doctors found the ulcer.
Bush underwent the surgery at a hospital in Houston and according to reports is resting comfortably at this time.
Surgeons, used laparoscopic surgery tools to repair a perforated
ulcer, only needing to make the tiniest of incision.
“She’s feeling great, and he (George H.W. Bush) is feeling very good,” said Jim Appleby, a spokesman for the Office of George Bush. “The surgery went just fine and she is recovering nicely.”
