Carbon Monoxide poisoning is being blamed as the cause of death of a family of four in Colorado.

A mal-functioning water system is the likely cause of the Carbon Monoxide leak, which killed the entire family - 39-year-old Parker Lofgren, 42-year-old Caroline Lofgren, and their children, Owen, 10, and Sophie, 8.

According to local police, the family was found dead by friends on Friday evening.

They were visiting Aspen for the Thanksgiving weekend and it is not yet known where they were visiting from.

Autopsies will be conducted on the family to assert the exact cause of their deaths, but officials are pretty sure of the cause.
