Dr Pepper Disappointed With Actions Of Axl Rose

Dr Pepper have released a statement following the recent Guns N’ Roses cd release and subsequent harsh words laid upon them by lead singer Axl Rose.
Rose was disappointed in the company for not fulfilling their end of a bargain which was to offer every American a free can of Dr Pepper if the band released an album in 2008.
The band did so, and subsequently the softdrink manufacturer’s web site crashed when people tried to go there to claim their free 1-drink stub.
In their statement, Dr Pepper says that the actions of Axl Rose are “disappointing.”
“We are disappointed that GNR’s lawyers are turning a fun giveaway into a legal dispute.”
“This was one of the largest responses we have ever received for a giveaway, and we’re happy we were able to satisfy the thirst of so many Dr Pepper fans.”
“We wish Guns N’ Roses the best with their album.”
Rose intends that the company profited off the band’s name without following through with their end of the deal, and is threatening legal action.
