Majority Of Americans Meeting Exercise Guidelines

There is a little good news for Americans as it has been reported that 2 thirds of them are getting their daily dose of exercise.
The health benefits that come as a result of daily exercise are aboundless, making it hard to believe why more ptople do not make some form of attempt to fit it into their lifestyle.
Simply going for a brisk walk can raise a person’s heart rate, and for the enthusiastic person, a slow jog, bike ride, hike or dog walk can do the trick.
According to the CDC, who analyzed just under 400,000 participants of the 2007 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System the majority of Americans are heeding advice and getting out and exercising.
The CDC researchers stress the importance that the one third of Americans who do not meet exercise guidelines need to pick up the practice, to better their own health.
“Approximately one third of U.S. adults did not report meeting minimum levels of aerobic physical activity as defined by the 2008 Guidelines.”
