Massachusetts Prepares to Launch Obesity Awareness Campaign

The state of Massachusetts is preparing to launch a huge anti-obesity campaign to help their residents lose weight.
Obesity is a constant battle for millions of Americans, and the state is planning on doing something to lend a helping hand.
Their campaign will focus on a number of key ideas, including pushing for calory boards in fastfood restaurants, to weighing their school students at various points throughout their schooling.
They multi-pronged proposal is set to be voted on by the Public Health Council next week, and if passed, could go into effect as early as the fall.
Obesity can greatly impact the health of people, as it puts them at significant risk for serious health issues such as heart disease, hypertention and even strokes.
New York City and California are the only other places in America that require restaurants to post their calory counts.
