Kara DioGuardi Joins American Idol Judging Panel
The upcoming season of American Idol will feature the addition of a new judge, songwriter and producer Kara DioGuardi.
This is just one of many changes for the 8th season of the show, which was the most watched television show last year in the US.
The show has been the backbone for some talented singers to launch their music careers, and the hope is high for a similar result.
Other changes for the upcoming season include more broadcast time for the popular Hollywood round, brings back the wild card round, and focuses more attention on singers with potential of going far in the competition.
The 8th season begins on Tuesday night, featuring auditions from both good and bad singers.
Joining Kara are familiar judges Paula, Randy and good old Simon.
