French Television Legend Claude Berri Dies At 74

January 12 - Claude Berri, famous for his role in French television for the last 50 years has died at the age of 74.
Cause of death was not immediately known, but according to his agent, Berri died in hospital early Monday morning after being rushed to hospital one day prior.
Throughout his lengthy career, Berri made a name for himself on all aspects of TV, including directing, writing movie scripts, and producing.
Berri even won an Oscar in 1965 for his short film “Le Poulet.”
Upon learning of Berri’s death, French President Nicolas Sarkozy released a statement in which he called him the most “legendary figure of French cinema.”
