Plane Crash In Buffalo Leaves 49 People Dead

A plane crash late last night has left 49 people dead.
The commuter plane, a Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 was making its approach for landing in Buffalo when it suddenly fell out of contact with air traffic control, leading to controlers scrambling to figure out what went wrong.
“Colgan 3407. Buffalo Tower. How do you hear?” the controller said.
“This is ground communication. We need to talk to someone at least five miles northeast … either state police or sheriff’s department. We need to find out if anything is on the ground,” he said.
“This aircraft was five miles out and all of a sudden we have no response to that aircraft.”
The plane, carrying 44 passengers and 4 crew crashed into a house and burst into flames.
All on board the plane are dead, and 1 person on the ground were also killed in the crash and subsequent explosion.
The FAA has launched an investigation into the crash, we will update this story as more information becomes available.
