Reduce calories to reduce weight

New York - There is always a discussion leading to debate that which is the best diet for weight loss is it low-fat, low-carb or high-protein. Many studies have shown that low calorie diet does it all.
As per recent study published in New England Journal of Medicine suggest that all diet options work provided intake of calories is reduced. This was an extensive two years study carried out in more than 800 participants. Diet used in the trial was of different categories under study but all of them were low in saturated fat and carbohydrates but high in fiber.
As per recommendation done by U.S. Department of Agriculture, in order to maintain weight an individual should consume 2000 – 2500 calories. Calories can only be reduced in the diet by putting conscious efforts and making the right choice for your body. Junk foods and sweets are rich in calories and hence cutting them will help to maintain the count. Diet containing whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low in cholesterol are to be considered.
Control of diet alone does not help in weight management, one has to change its life style and adapt to moderate – intense physical activities. Diet counseling is recommended.
